Vogue Paris 100 years
For its anniversary edition, Vogue Paris looks back over 100 years of archives.
The celebrations, which were delayed by a year because of Covid-19, include a sublime retrospective, Vogue Paris 1920-2020 organized by the Palais Galliera. In total, the exhibition is composed of more than 400 works from the Vogue archives, which runs from October 2, 2021, to January 30, 2022. Vogue Paris is also celebrating its 100th birthday throughout its October 2021 edition, the cover of which is a photograph shot by Guy Bourdin in April 1979. Throughout its 420 pages, you will find fashion's greatest moments, from documents to archives, as well as photographs taken by fashion's greatest photographers, including Helmut Newton, Irving Penn, and Guy Bourdin, all of whom helped create the identity of Vogue Paris. The edition also pays hommage to literary icons such as Simone de Beauvoir, Françoise Sagan, Patrick Modiano, and Jean Cocteau, who have also contributed to the magazine.
