Fashion photography, portraiture and contemporary image-making. Self Service Issue 65 explores the relationship between fashion, identity and visual culture through editorial photography and creative collaboration.

Self Service Magazine Issue 65 is the Fall/Winter 2026 edition of the Paris-based independent fashion and culture magazine, published on September 30, 2026. Under the editorial direction of Ezra Petronio, the publication continues its investigation into contemporary fashion, photography and the construction of identity through images.

The issue brings together fashion editorials, portraiture and visual research, positioning the magazine as a space where photography operates beyond the documentation of clothing. Fashion becomes a language through which to examine individuality, representation and the creative relationships between photographers, stylists and their subjects.

Ezra Petronio and the Language of Fashion Portraiture

The Fall/Winter 2026 issue features Jacqui Hooper photographed by Ezra Petronio for one of its covers. The portrait belongs to Self Service’s ongoing exploration of fashion photography as a space between individual identity and editorial construction.

Petronio also presents Polaroid Portraits — The Paris Sessions, featuring subjects including Karen Elson, Adwoa Aboah and Scarlett White. The series returns to the immediacy of photographic portraiture, where the relationship between photographer and subject becomes central to the image.

Fashion Photography Between Intimacy and Representation

Among the issue’s fashion stories, Empoweringly features Gertrud Rose and Lauren Huyskens photographed by Bryan Liston and styled by Tony Irvine in Loro Piana’s Fall 2026 collection.

The editorial explores the relationship between clothing, photographic composition and the representation of the body. The work reflects Self Service’s approach to fashion publishing, where styling and photography operate together as forms of visual authorship.

Across its 516 pages, Issue 65 continues the magazine’s commitment to the printed image, independent editorial production and the documentation of contemporary fashion culture.
