Vogue France is with you all summer long through beaches, sun and idleness! For the August issue, Vogue France has put its vacation essentials in its pages. Pride is the guiding theme of this issue. On the cover of our August Vogue edition are Mona Tougaard and Ugbad Abdi, the faces of a new generation of free and committed models. They are both friends of the catwalk and they break the cliché of rivalries between supermodels. As models of Somali origin, they share their love of the culture. "It's very important to be proud of your roots. I look at my younger sisters, and girls all over the world, who tell me how much they feel that they exist when they see a woman who looks like them doing what makes her happy. Representation plays such an important role in making people feel seen and heard!" says Ugbad on page 95.
